Vision 2047: Outlining multi-decade progress

At the heart of the upcoming Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025, to be held on December 8 & 9, lies its most anticipated moment: the formal unveiling of the Vision 2047 Document, crafted in collaboration with the Indian School of Business (ISB). This document outlines a multi-decade development plan for the State, encompassing every sphere of development – from digital infrastructure and spatial planning to climate resilience, human development, agriculture, women’s advancement, youth empowerment, and industrial transformation.

One of the most transformative components of this vision is the structural reorganisation of Telangana into CURE, PURE and RARE zones encompassing the urban, peri-urban and rural economic clusters. These clusters are designed to ensure balanced, sustainable and region-specific growth.

The vision also emphasises a massive productivity shift, driven by Total Factor Productivity (TFP), research and development, skill-intensive talent, and technology-led expansion. The long-term projection forecasts a seven-fold increase in per capita SGDP by 2046-47, driven by innovation, capital deepening, and institutional excellence.

India’s most future-ready investment arena

The summit is designed to deliver concrete outcomes. A series of sector-specific MoUs in tourism, sports, cinema, infrastructure, manufacturing, clean energy, and startups will mark the State’s commitment to turning ideas into actionable investments.

The government is expected to sign several major MoUs, including proposals for Sports City development, film studios by Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn, large-scale tourism and hospitality partnerships, and HMDA-led infrastructure projects in the Bharat Future City region. These agreements will cement Telangana’s position as one of India’s most dynamic investment destinations.

Senior leadership has repeatedly stressed that the Summit must do more than showcase ambition, and clearly present the policy, funding and institutional mechanisms through which these opportunities will take shape.

Focus on infrastructure upgrade

Infrastructure, one of Telangana’s major strengths, receives special focus. Plans for Andhra Pradesh – Telangana (AP-TG) connectivity corridors, port-road linkages, the Regional Ring Road (RRR), radial roads and expressways help showcase the State as a future logistics and export hub. These networks will support both inward investments and outward competitiveness globally, strengthening Telangana’s position in national and global supply chains.

Beyond the policy and investment architecture, the Global Summit also carries symbolic weight. As Telangana completes two years under the Congress government, led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, this event reflects a paradigm shift – from immediate priorities to a long-term growth strategy, from the “now” to the “next”. It marks the State’s readiness to move beyond incremental development and embrace long-term transformation.

Join the Rise & experience State’s growth first-hand

And, importantly, the Summit does not end with the business sessions. After two days of global engagement, the venue will be opened to the public with cultural programmes, interactive exhibits, food courts and experiential zones, reaffirming that accessibility and people-led development are at the core of Telangana Rising vision.

In essence, the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025 is the convergence point of vision, investment and ambition. This is, perhaps, the most apt time for Telangana to place its roadmap and statement of purpose (SoP), with precision and confidence, before the world and declare its intent to become one of the most dynamic, innovation-driven and sustainability-aligned economies by 2047.
