Shri A. Revanth Reddy
Chief Minister of Telangana
Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy, the Telangana government offers several schemes to support farmers. The most important of these schemes include Rythu Bharosa (financial assistance to farmer scheme), Rythu Runa Maafi (crop loan waiver scheme) and Rythu Bima (farmers group life insurance scheme).
In a remarkable display of governance, efficiency, and empathy, the Telangana government, has disbursed a record Rs. 21,426.13 crore under its flagship Rythu Bharosa scheme — a direct intervention aimed at supporting farmers during both Yasangi (Rabi) and Vanakalam (Kharif) seasons.
Delivering on his bold promise of “Rs. 9,000 crore in 9 days”, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy enabled a massive Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) on June 17, 2025, with a single click during a live Rythu Nestham video-conference. The result: lakhs of farmers across over 12,000 villages received SMS alerts confirming credit to their bank accounts, marking real-time governance.
Rythu Bharosa is an agriculture investment support scheme that offers financial aid of Rs. 6,000 per acre per season — totalling Rs. 12,000 annually per acre. This money helps farmers meet key cultivation expenses including seeds, fertilizer, labour, and pesticides. In the 2024-25 Budget, the government enhanced the allocation to Rs. 15,000 annually, expanding support further.
With phased expansion plans underway, Rythu Bharosa ensures that prosperity begins at the grassroots and that all eligible farmers across the State receive timely financial aid.
This reflects the government’s commitment to strengthening the agricultural sector and improving the livelihoods of farming communities statewide.
Financial aid under this scheme is being distributed directly to registered farmers’ bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), ensuring transparency and efficiency.
The disbursement is carried out in multiple phases aligned with the crop seasons, providing timely support to farmers to meet their agricultural needs.
The scheme’s coverage has been extended beyond land-owning farmers to also include tenant farmers and landless agricultural workers.
Rythu Bharosa is a declaration of the State’s unwavering commitment to its farmers. By reviving transparency, expanding coverage to tenant farmers and landless workers, and ensuring DBT-enabled disbursals, the government is reshaping rural livelihoods.
“Governments cannot be formed without the support and blessings of farmers. We are moving forward, correcting past failures and delivering what we promised,” said Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
