The scheme supports those with entrepreneurial dreams but lacking access to capital. What sets Rajiv Yuva Vikasam apart is its deep commitment to providing self-employment opportunities to youngsters, especially among Below Poverty Line (BPL) families.

• The scheme is targetted at communities such as Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Backward Classes (BC), Most Backward Classes (MBC), Minority and Christian Minority.
• It caters to youth aged 18 to 35 and equips them with the means to establish mini industries or small-scale enterprises.
• To ensure the benefits reach the truly needy, the scheme mandates that applicants be — Permanent residents of Telangana; Classified under the Below Poverty Line (BPL); and Interested in starting self-employment ventures.

This inclusive eligibility structure ensures that the State’s most vulnerable youth get an opportunity to become economically self-reliant. Under this scheme, eligible youth can access financial assistance of up to Rs. 3 lakh, with subsidies ranging from 60% to 80%, depending on the loan category:

• Category 1: Loans up to Rs. 1 lakh with 80% subsidy
• Category 2: Loans from Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 2 lakh with 70% subsidy
• Category 3: Loans up to Rs. 3 lakh with 60% subsidy

The remaining amount can be arranged by the applicant through self-investment or bank loan, encouraging responsibility and financial literacy among young entrepreneurs.

With a massive budget allocation of Rs. 6,000 crore, the Government has ensured that no eligible youngster is left behind. The focus is on
